Founder / President / Head Coach
Dave Weinstein
Dave Weinstein founded Energy in 2018 and has 15+ years of combined experience as a basketball coach for ages 5-35. Dave’s basketball resume spans from a lifelong player who trained with Syracuse University’s D-1 practice squad (when ranked #6), to head coaching roles at multiple Bay Area high school programs, the NCAA Women’s Basketball College Basketball Academy, and the Maccabi U16 Girls National Basketball Team. For the past 6 years, he has served as a mentor/
ambassador/speaker at the Women’s Basketball Coaching Association.

Anthony Jones
Coach Anthony attended Sequoia High School and Foothill College, where he played basketball and tennis. In addition to coaching Crystal Springs Uplands School Girls Basketball for six seasons and Boys/Girls Varsity Tennis for fifteen seasons, he has coached at Energy every season, for a total of fourteen seasons.

Brianna Filoteo
Coach Bri graduated from Burlingame High School (BHS) in 2020 and will be a Junior at San Diego State University in the fall, studying Kinesiology. She has played on club basketball teams, including Energy, since 6th grade, and played all four years at BHS. Additionally, she played one year of high school water polo. Bri has coached Energy for three seasons.

Brianna Grossman
Coach Bri graduated Burlingame High School in 2020 and recently graduated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Journalism/Public Relations and a minor in Media, Arts, Society and Technology. She played four years of high school basketball and was a varsity starter. She also participated in high school softball and golf. Bri G. played on Energy for two seasons and has coached for three seasons.

Brittany Tacket
Coach Brittany is originally from Idaho. She attended Lewis-Clark State College, where she majored in Kinesiology and played on their basketball team. During her college basketball career, she earned the title of 2x All-American and led the nation in field goal percentage her junior season. Post-grad, Brittany attended the University of San Francisco to obtain her master’s degree in teaching. She has coached four seasons of Energy Basketball and has lived in the Bay Area for five years.

Camille Antiporada
Coach Camille is a junior attending Crystal Springs Uplands School. She started on the Girls Varsity Basketball Team as a sophomore, led the team in rebounding, and had three double-doubles during the ‘23-’24 season. She played on Energy for two seasons and has coached Energy for two seasons. Additionally, Camille is a multisport athlete and plays on Crystal’s volleyball team.

Chris Mezzetta
Coach Chris attended Mills High School, College of San Mateo (CSM), and UC Davis, where he earned a degree in English and History. During high school, he participated in cross country and track and field (high jump), and spent an additional year of high jumping along with intramural basketball at CSM. He has been coaching Energy for two seasons - and it’s a family activity as he coaches with his two daughters, Gianna and Serena, as well as his wife, Heather.

Gianna Mezzetta
Coach Gianna recently graduated from Mills High School and will be attending the University of Nevada-Reno in the fall studying Journalism. Drawing inspiration from her older sister's basketball trajectory, Gianna put in the work and secured a spot on the Mills Varsity team by her sophomore year. Along with playing basketball, she also ran high school track and field. She played on Energy for one year and this is her third season as a coach.

Jemma Lacap
Coach Jemma recently graduated from Crystal Springs Uplands School and will be playing basketball at Chapman University in the fall. She was a four-year Varsity starter at Crystal, where she won many awards/honorable mentions including being 1st team All League in the ‘20-’21 and ‘22-’23 seasons, team captain and team MVP for the ‘22-’23 and ‘23-’24 seasons, and being included on the CA D5 Girls Basketball Team. She was also an Energy player before becoming a coach.

Joy Yeo
Coach Joy graduated from Burlingame High School in 2023 and is currently finishing her first year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She played on Energy for one season and has coached for one season. She has lived in the Bay Area for fifteen years.

“The environment at Energy is unlike any other club or sport team I've ever experienced. It is always positive and encouraging and a safe space to make mistakes. I also love that energy prioritizes attitude and effort over winning and emphasizes teaching the players life skills that extend beyond basketball".

Katri Bernabe
Coach Katri graduated from Burlingame High School (BHS) in 2019 and then went on to earn her B.A. at the University of San Francisco in 2023. Katri was born in the Philippines and moved to the Bay Area at the age of eight. She played basketball all four years at BHS and played on Energy her senior year. For two seasons in college, she served as assistant coach for the varsity girls basketball at the Urban School of San Francisco. She has been coaching Energy for four seasons.

Maile Bateman
Coach Maile just graduated from Crystal Springs Uplands School and will be attending Duke University. She was a four-year Varsity starter for Crystal Women’s Basketball, where she was first Team All-League in her first season. She was a league honorable mention and received the Team Gryphon Award in the ‘21-’22 season. In the ‘23-’24 season, she was Second Team All-League, Second Team All CCS Basketball, and Team Captain. She also won the CCS D5 Sportsmanship Award for the ‘21-’22 and ‘23-’24 seasons. She has been coaching Energy for one season.

Raelyn Dela Cruz
Coach Rae just graduated from Crystal Springs Uplands School and will be attending Skyline College to study Psychology on a Neuroscience pathway. During her high school basketball career, she was a 4-year Varsity starter, was named 1st team All-League in the ‘20-’21 season, and 2nd team All-League in the ‘21-’22 and ‘22-’23 seasons. She also served as Team Captain from 2022 to 2024 and earned the Most Improved Player award for the ‘22-’23 season. She played on Energy for one and a half seasons and has coached for one season.

Sam Bishop
Coach Sam attended Regis University where he earned a BA in English. He then attended the University of San Francisco to earn his Masters in Education. Along with his passion for basketball, he played soccer in high school and club lacrosse in college. He has been the Crystal High School boys JV Asst. Coach for the past two seasons and has coached Energy for four seasons.

Samantha Kershner
Coach Sam graduated from Burlingame High School in 2020 and earned her degree in Sports Management at the University of Michigan. During her time at Michigan, she was a Women’s Basketball Team Manager and competed for the school in Olympic Weightlifting. She was a four-year high school basketball starter and has been an Energy coach for four seasons.

Serena Mezzetta
Coach Serena graduated from Mills High School in 2023 and just finished her first year at Skyline College, where she studies Mathematics. She was a four-year varsity basketball player and captain for 2 years. At Mills, she was all league second team and a CCS champion. She played for the Skyline Women's Basketball Team in the ‘23-’24 season. She also ran track in high school. She has been an Energy coach for one season.

Vanessa Li
Coach Vanessa graduated from Burlingame High School in 2023 and will be entering her second year at Boston University in the fall. Vanessa boasts nine years of competitive basketball under her belt and was a high school Varsity starter. She played on Energy for three seasons and has been a coach for two seasons.

Zimo De Oliveira
Coach Zimo graduated from Burlingame High School in 2020 and moved on to attend San Francisco State. He has two years of high school team experience and an additional two years in club basketball. He was born in Brazil and has lived in the Bay Area for 15 years. He has been coaching Energy for two seasons.
