Founder / President / Head Coach
Dave Weinstein
Coach Dave founded Energy in 2018 and brings over 15 years of experience coaching basketball for players ages 5 to 35. A lifelong player himself, Dave trained with Syracuse University’s Division I practice squad when the team was ranked #6 in the nation. His coaching resume includes head coaching roles at several Bay Area high schools, the NCAA Women’s Basketball College Basketball Academy, and the Maccabi U16 Girls National Team. Since 2019, he has also served as a mentor, ambassador, and speaker with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

Brittany Tackett
Coach Brittany is originally from Idaho and played college basketball at Lewis-Clark State College, where she majored in Kinesiology. During her collegiate career, she was a 2x All-American and led the nation in field goal percentage during her junior season. After college, she earned her master’s degree in teaching from the University of San Francisco. Brittany has coached with Energy Basketball since 2021 and has lived in the Bay Area since 2018.

Anthony Jones
Coach Anthony is a Sequoia High School and Foothill College alumnus, where he competed in both basketball and tennis. He has coached Girls Basketball at Crystal Springs Uplands School for six seasons and Boys and Girls Varsity Tennis for fifteen seasons. In addition, he has coached at Energy every season since its founding in 2018.

Brianna Filoteo
Coach Bri graduated from Burlingame High School in 2020 and is currently studying Kinesiology at San Diego State University, where she will graduate in 2026. She has played club basketball since 6th grade, including with Energy, and was a four-year player at BHS. In addition to basketball, she also competed in high school water polo for one season. Bri has coached with Energy since 2022.

Brianna Grossman
Coach Bri G. graduated from Burlingame High School in 2020 and recently earned a degree in Journalism/Public Relations with a minor in Media, Arts, Society, and Technology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She was a four-year high school basketball player and varsity starter, and also competed in softball and golf. Bri G. played for Energy for two seasons and has coached since 2022.

Camille Antiporda
Coach Camille will graduate from Crystal Springs Uplands School in 2026. As a sophomore, she started on the Girls Varsity Basketball Team, led the team in rebounds, and recorded three double-doubles during the 2023–2024 season. Camille is a multi-sport athlete, also playing on Crystal’s volleyball team. She has played for 2 season and coached for Energy since 2023.

Chris Mezzetta
Coach Chris attended Mills High School, College of San Mateo (CSM), and UC Davis, where he earned degrees in English and History. In high school, he competed in cross country and track and field (high jump), and continued with high jumping and intramural basketball at CSM. Chris has coached with Energy since 2023, and it’s a true family affair: he coaches alongside his daughters, Gianna and Serena, and his wife, Heather.

Gianna Mezzetta
Coach Gianna graduated from Mills High School in 2024 and is pursuing a degree in Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she is set to graduate in 2028. Inspired by her older sister’s basketball journey, Gianna worked hard to earn a spot on the Mills Varsity Basketball Team by her sophomore year. She also competed in track and field during high school. Gianna played for Energy for one season, and coached since 2023.

Hassan Dafir
Coach Hassan has been coaching with Energy since 2023. He brings a strong background in youth development and currently works as an elementary school teacher in the Millbrae School District.

Izzy De Oliveira
Coach Izzy played for Energy for two seasons and has been coaching with the program since 2022. She spent one year at College of San Mateo (CSM) before transferring to the University of San Francisco (USF). Izzy has lived in the Bay Area for 15 years and currently works for the Golden State Warriors.

Jemma Lacap
Coach Jemma graduated from Crystal Springs Uplands School in 2024 and plays college basketball at Chapman University, where she is set to graduate in 2028. A four-year varsity starter at Crystal, she earned numerous honors, including 1st Team All-League in the 2020–2021 and 2022–2023 seasons, and served as both team captain and team MVP for the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons. She was also named to the California Division 5 Girls Basketball Team. Jemma played for Energy for 2 seasons before becoming a coach in 2023.

Joy Yeo
Coach Joy graduated from Burlingame High School in 2023 and now attends Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she is set to graduate in 2027. She played for Energy for one season and began her coaching journey in 2023. Joy has lived in the Bay Area since 2010.

Katri Bernabe
Coach Katri graduated from Burlingame High School (BHS) in 2019 and earned her B.A. from the University of San Francisco in 2023. Born in the Philippines, she moved to the Bay Area at age eight. Katri played basketball all four years at BHS and joined Energy as a player during her senior year. While in college, she spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the varsity girls basketball team at the Urban School of San Francisco. Katri has been coaching with Energy since 2021.​​

Luna Mengel-Yoshimura
Coach Luna graduated from Mills High School in 2025, where she was a three-sport athlete. She played for Energy for one season and has been coaching since 2023. Luna will be attending College of San Mateo (CSM) in the fall.

Maile Bateman
Coach Maile graduated from Crystal Springs Uplands School in 2023 and will graduate from Duke University in 2027. A four-year varsity starter for Crystal Women’s Basketball, she was First Team All-League as a freshman, earned league honorable mention and the Team Gryphon Award in 2021–2022, and was named Second Team All-League, Second Team All-CCS, and team captain in 2023–2024. She also received the CCS Division 5 Sportsmanship Award in both 2021–2022 and 2023–2024. Maile has coached with Energy since 2023.

Raelyn Dela Cruz
Coach Rae graduated from Crystal Springs Uplands School and attends Skyline College to study Psychology with a Neuroscience pathway. A four-year varsity starter, she earned 1st Team All-League honors in 2020–2021, and 2nd Team All-League in 2021–2022 and 2022–2023. Rae served as team captain from 2022 to 2024 and was named Most Improved Player in 2022–2023. She has played for Energy for 2 seasons and has coached since 2023.

Sam Bishop
Coach Sam earned his B.A. in English from Regis University and later completed a master’s in education at the University of San Francisco. As a multi-sport athlete, he played soccer in high school and club lacrosse in college. Sam has served as the Boys JV Assistant Coach at Crystal Springs Uplands School since 2023 and has coached with Energy since 2021.​

Samantha Kershner
Coach Sam graduated from Burlingame High School in 2020 and earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Management from the University of Michigan. While at Michigan, she served as a manager for the Division I Women’s Basketball Team and competed in Olympic Weightlifting. A four-year high school basketball starter, Sam has coached with Energy since 2022.

Serena Mezzetta
Coach Serena graduated from Mills High School in 2023 and earned an Associate’s degree in Mathematics from Skyline College in 2025. She is transferring to Johns Hopkins University to continue playing basketball and study Civil Engineering, with an expected graduation in 2028. A four-year varsity basketball player at Mills and two-year team captain, Serena earned Second Team All-League honors and was part of a CCS championship team. She also ran track in high school and played for the Skyline Women’s Basketball Team during the 2023–2024 season. Serena has been coaching with Energy since 2023.

Vanessa Li
Coach Vanessa graduated from Burlingame High School in 2023 and is set to graduate from Boston University in 2027. A varsity starter in high school, she brings nine years of competitive basketball experience. Vanessa has played for Energy for 3 seasons and has coached since 2023.

Zimo De Oliveira
Coach Zimo graduated from Burlingame High School in 2020 and now attends San Francisco State University. He has two years of high school basketball experience and played an additional two years of club basketball. Born in Brazil, Zimo has lived in the Bay Area for 15 years. He has coached with Energy since 2023.
