Core Values

Attitude and Effort

We have high expectations for these player controllables which drive technical mastery and results. We believe every moment on the court is an opportunity to take risks, learn more, and be better.

Community and Connectedness

We build a club community that strengthens our players’ confidence and self-worth. We create practices full of energy, effort, and fun so that girls are motivated to attend.

Players are people first

We care about each other beyond game time. We provide opportunities for players to learn life lessons. We encourage players to prioritize family, friends, school, and in-season school sports when appropriate.

Preparation, organization, and communication

We go above and beyond on the details to provide the highest quality experience for players and families. We strive for clear communication of expectations.

History

In July 2018, co-founders David Weinstein and Jeremy Gordon created Energy because they saw a need for a girl's basketball program for high-school players focused on teaching fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment. In August 2018, the first Energy practice was held with 15 high school players and two coaches. Adding two additional coaches in 2019, the program stayed consistent until COVID-19 hit and all was shut down. In the summer of 2021, Energy started up again, with 15-20 high-school players and a couple of eighth graders joining each season. In the spring of 2023, Energy expanded by adding third-seventh grade players to the program for the very first time. In the spring of 2024, Energy grew to its largest number of players and coaches in a single season, with almost 60 players and 20 coaches. We are so proud of how far Energy has come and we can't wait to see what the future holds for our program!
